A small beacon in each store, and 8+ years of learning behind it.

The Kairos beacon is a small, passive, low-power Bluetooth device installed in each store. It runs on its own battery for 10 years, never plugs into the mains and never touches your network. Paired with our partnerships with consumer mobile apps, it detects real visits with 20× the precision of GPS. Beacons are free, shipped by mail and installed in minutes: we can deploy up to 200 stores a day.

Data collection · how a visit is measured

A beacon the size of a matchbox. No wiring, no IT project, no guesswork.

Each store gets a small Bluetooth beacon. It runs on its own battery for 10 years, never plugs into the mains and never touches your network. When a visitor whose phone carries one of our partner apps walks in, the visit is recorded and matched, one to one, with the ads that person was exposed to. Here is the chain, step by step.

The beacon broadcasts a short identifier a few meters around the entrance. It is weaker than a baby monitor and interferes with nothing.

A visitor walks in with Bluetooth on. Nothing to download, nothing to scan: their phone simply hears the beacon.

One of our partner consumer apps on that phone reports the device ID. Users of partner apps have consented to data collection.

The visit is recorded: a real person, inside your store, not in the parking lot or next door. No GPS, no probability.

The same device ID appears in the exposure logs of your ad vendors. Kairos AI matches the two: exposed visitors, cost per exposed visitor, contribution to store revenue.

The beacon

What it is, what it is not

Passive, low tech, battery-powered

A Bluetooth emitter weaker than a baby monitor. No power outlet, no cable, no Wi-Fi: the battery lasts 10 years. No interference with your electrical, phone or Wi-Fi networks.

Free, including replacement

Beacons are provided at no cost, monitored remotely, and replaced free of charge if one fails.

Detection through partner apps

Kairos has built partnerships with consumer mobile apps. When a phone carrying one of them enters the beacon’s range, a visit is detected.

Precision

20× more precise than GPS and 100% reliable on the visits it detects: a counted visitor is in your store, not in the parking lot or next door.
Deployment

Live in your stores within two weeks, up to 200 stores a day

01

We ship

One beacon per store, pre-configured, with a one-page installation guide for the store team. We ship up to 200 stores a day, so a whole network goes live in days, not months.

02

The store installs it

Placement near the entrance, following the guide. No power outlet, no Wi-Fi configuration, no IT ticket: the beacon runs on its own battery for 10 years.

03

Fleet monitoring

Your dashboard shows each store’s status: active, anomaly, not installed, with the installation date and the action to take.
Field questions

What your store managers will ask, and how we answer

During the partnership, a few objections will come back from store managers. Tell us, and we will handle them with you. The most frequent ones already have a ready answer.

“How do you know the beacon works?”

Each beacon reports its status to the network dashboard. Anomalies are flagged store by store and fixed with the manager.

“How do you avoid counting people outside?”

Signal range and placement are calibrated to the store footprint. Passers-by and neighboring shops are excluded.

“What is in it for me?”

Store-level reporting: each manager sees which campaigns reached their own customers, and what they contributed.
Reconciliation

How a visit becomes a measured campaign

The reconciliation key is the mobile advertising ID. It is present in the exposure logs of ad platforms and media vendors, and collected by Kairos on in-store visits through partner apps. Matching the two gives exposed visitors, coverage, cost per exposed visitor and contribution to revenue. Results are reported in aggregate. Our data practices are documented on the Data & Privacy page.
